It had been one hell of a week for Kaden as he had spent most of it trying to impress Jasper on the set. After the night he had gone to her house and watched the movie with her, he wanted nothing more than to have her as his girlfriend, but he knew that she was focusing on her career more than her love life at the moment. However, Kaden had other things to focus on now. His childhood best friend Tyler was coming out to Hollywood now that he had landed a role on Just Hear Me, so he was moving in with Kaden.
Pulling out his cell phone, he found Tyler's name in the "Contacts" list and hit "Call", putting the phone to his ear. He let it ring, waiting for his friend to pick it up to see how close he was to the house.

Tyler was cursing as he drove, driving in these big cities was something that he was not entirely he used to . He sighed out of frustration when saw his phone ring and he burst into a smile, he fumbled with the phone before he answered, "Hey man.." He stopped for a while and turned the radio down, " I am about two seconds away, sorry I'm late, I got lost on the turnpike.. Don't ask," he laughed slightly, a nervous habit. "Anyways I'll see you soon," He flipped the phone shut as he drove up to Kadens' house.
Tyler parked the car and sighed, glad to be done with the driving, and with his move. There was noting more than he wanted to crack open a beer with Kaden and cheers to the times that they were going to have on the show and as roommates, again. He sat in the car for a minute before hopping out, grabbing a box of stuff from the back. Tyler shook his hair when he reached the door and knocked, leaning against the frame around his house, which was much bigger than Kaden had let on.

In his ten-second phone brief from Tyler, he could tell by the sound of it that Tyler had not changed one bit from when they were younger. Growing up in Texas, Tyler had always been the one to get them into trouble and Kaden talked them out of it. Kaden's family moved to Hollywood when he and Tyler were twelve-years-old, so their summers were spent visiting each other's family in California and Texas respectively. And now, for the first time since then, they were going to be living in the same town. Kaden was glad his best friend was moving out to California; he needed a wing-man.
When he heard the knock at the front door, he knew it was Tyler so he ran from the kitchen to the front door and opened it. He chuckled the minute he saw Tyler standing there. "Hey man, it's good to see ya!" he chuckled. "Come on in and we'll start moving all your stuff in once I give you the grand tour of the place." He opened the door wider to let his friend in.

Tyler broke into a smile when he saw Kaden. He thought it might be a bit much to lean over and hug Kaden so he punched him in the shoulder instead. "Look at us man! We have our own house!" He threw the box on the ground in the entryway and shook Kaden's hair before walking into the home, looking at it in almost awe. This was he and Kaden's first house, and he was glad he had someone to experience it with. But he would be lying if he said if he ever lived in a house this nice before.
"Jeez man.. this place is gigantic," He smiled as he looked to Kaden, " These girls aren't gonna know what him them," He winked at Kaden, glad that he would finally have a wing man again. He stretched his arms out, taking his sun glasses off and setting them in the entry way, ready for the tour.

Laughing as Tyler punched him in the shoulder, Kaden stepped aside to let him wander into the house a bit. He watched as Tyler took an initial look at the place. In truth, when Kaden bought the place initially, he intended to have a roommate but that didn't really pan out the way he planned until now. "Yeah, you think this is big, you should see some of my neighbors," he chuckled. "I even have a half-field out back for soccer practice and a pool, so I think some summer parties are in order. We can go check those out first I guess and then come back inside from there." He pointed toward the back door that was on the opposite side of the living room.

"Way ahead of you bro," he leaned down and opened the first box that he had brought in, pulling a soccer ball out of it and tossed it to Kaden. He checked the surrounding house as he made his way outside, completely impressed by the home that Kaden had picked, he couldn't have picked a better one himself. He stopped in the kitchen to put the beer he had brought for the two of them in the refrigerator before heading outside. He stopped at the door, staring out the window at the field and looked at Kaden, "You weren't kidding man.." He smiled as he opened the door, running outside he felt like a kid in a candy store. "This definitely calls for a party" he said, agreeing with what Kaden had mentioned earlier. He reached his arms back, lifting his shirt off and throwing it to the corner. He leaned back, pulling his foot up so that he could stretch his legs. Of all the time that he and Kaden had spent apart, this felt right. Tyler was so glad that they both were going to be able to reach the same dream that they had shared since they were young. There were many times where he wanted to quit attempting to break into the business, but Kaden was always there, pushing him through. There was no doubt that Kaden was the more responsible out of the two of them.

It did not surprise Kaden at all that he had brought a soccer ball and a pack of beer for later. He caught the ball and walked outside, throwing the ball down onto the grass of the field. That was one of the conditions he had insisted upon when he first bought the house so that he could have somewhere to practice soccer. It was one of the best decisions he made. Kaden pulled off his own shirt and discarded it before kicking up the ball and bouncing it off his foot a few times. "I really haven't had a party here yet," he admitted. "Never really a reason to...until now that is. We are definitely having a party to celebrate your arrival to Hollywood." Kaden kicked the ball into the goal, hitting the back of the net square in the middle. Throwing his hands up, he yelled "GOAL!!!!" This was just like old times; him and Tyler playing soccer and talking up about parties and girls. He still hadn't told him about Jasper yet, but that was something he was waiting to talk to him about until he got to California so he could show Tyler what he was talking about. Jasper was the kind of girl you had to see in person to get why she was so enchanting.

Tyler laughed as Kaden made a goal, happy to finally have his best friend in his life. "My arrival certainly deserves a party.. if everyone know who I was" he shook his head, laughing at Kaden, "Maybe we could have a cast party, I could meet these people that have stolen my friend," He left, kicking the soccer ball up to his knee and playing around with it. He could feel his slightly longer hair bouncing against his head and thought for a moment about cutting it, but he knew he never would. Not unless the show asked him too. "This show got some prime meat?" He looked up, wondering what the girl selection around them would be. He didn't mean it to sound harsh, but Tyler had been in one serious relationship his entire life, and ever since then he merely dated around, flirting with almost every girl he knew. He knew that the way he talked sometimes might make him seem callous, but he also knew that when he found the right girl, he would be smitten and committed. Just the way Kaden seemed to be.

Kaden nodded to the idea of a cast party. It would give him an opportunity to introduce Tyler to Jasper and see what he thought of her. "Cast party sounds good," he said, going to get his soccer ball from the goal. When he heard Tyler's question about the girls on the set, he had to laugh. Typical Ty, he thought to himself. To most outsiders, Tyler was just a ladies man, but Kaden knew that his best friend was capable of settling for one girl. He had seen it once before during Tyler's first and only serious girlfriend. "Yeah, the girls are alright," he said, kicking up his ball again and juggling between his feet. "Not that I pay attention to most of them the way you would though. But there is this one girl...well, she's different than most girls." He chuckled again and landed the soccer ball on his knee before shuffling it between his feet again.

Tyler shook his head as he dribbled the ball some more. He may be able to admit that he had some faults when it came to the girl area, but he also knew that at this point in his life he wasn't ready to be tied down in any kind of relationship, the way Kaden was getting himself tied down. He was young, about to star in a popular tv show and had the whole world in front of him. "You're going to have to introduce her to me man, so that I know which one to steer clear of for you, " he winked. He and Kaden were both pretty lucky when it came to women. Lucky in the sense that, he knew that they could both be charming. But if it ever came down to a competition, Kaden would win every time. And he should, he had more heart in these kinds of things than Tyler did. " But I'm going to try and clean up my act, seriously. I think I string girls a long too much.." though his words were serious, it was hard for him to talk about things like this, he thought it made him seem to vulnerable, so he threw something else out real quick, " Besides, dating so many girls gets expensive after a while.. gotta save that money," He smiled and then took a deep breath, looking down.

Kicking up the ball again, Kaden shot and made another goal with ease. He thought about Jasper again and knew that Tyler would definitely approve because of how amazing of a girl she was. "Her name is Jasper and she is the most wonderful girl I have ever met," he said, retrieving the ball from the goal again. "She's not like a lot of other girls in this business. She's...real and down to earth." He threw the ball down to the ground and dribbled some more. Hearing his friend talk about cleaning up his act was something that threw him off momentarily. Tyler had lived his life as a perverbial playboy for so long that Kaden didn't think he would ever change, but obviously he was being proven wrong. "Yeah, dating is expensive," he chuckled at Tyler's quick cover. "But, I swear when you find the right girl...it's going to hit you like a ton of bricks and when it does, I'm going to be there to see it." He walked over and punched Tyler's arm for emphasis of his point, laughing as he did so.

Tyler had both of his hands on his knees and was bent over, trying to catch a breath when he looked up, feeling the punch on his arm. He gave a small smile, and was taking in deep breaths, "It's just I've dated so many girls.. maybe it's time to take a break," He shrugged as he went to grab a drink from the water bottle he had brought outside. "Try to figure out what I could actually give in a relationship before I throw myself into one, ya know?" Tyler threw the water bottle back down on the ground and ran for the soccer ball. "I say this, but you know it probably won't stick" He laughed, though he was slightly disappointed in himself, and knew that Kaden probably would be there when the right girl came along, which was something he probably needed, someone to tell him when he was being a jerk and to take notice of what was happening. "She sounds amazing man, I'm happy for you. But have you told her?" He raised his eyebrow slightly, giving a small smirk.

Kaden nodded in understanding of his friend's point. He knew that Tyler was capable of change, if he put his mind to it. The hard part of the entire thing would be making Tyler stick to his plan for change because he gave up too easily. "If you're serious about the changing your dating life, then I'll back you up man," he offered. "Girls here, they like to party and stuff, but when you get down to it...they're looking for relationships that are going to last. A lot of them are goal-oriented toward their careers, so they don't have time for guys who bounce relationships." In that second, he thought about Jasper again. She was so driven toward her career that he knew she would not have the time for a relationship with him. "And naw man, I haven't told Jasper. Her focus is on her career right now, so dating would probably be out of the question for the time being. Although we did kind of have a date the other night..." he trailed off for a second and kicked the ball into the net again, but didn't retrieve it.

Tyler shook his head, girls were beyond confusing. If they were looking forward towards their careers, why couldn't they date someone who wanted the same thing for them? Kaden for instance. He knew that Kaden would want nothing more than for Jasper to be successful, wouldn't a girl want that support by her side, and not think of it as a distraction but a reinforcement. "I don't know, I still think you should tell her." He kicked the ball towards the goal, narrowly missing it and cursed, " By date do you mean, you picked her up with flowers, took her somewhere special.. or that you spent time together and you're just going to call it a date so it means something more to you?" Tyler didn't mean to be a jerk, he was just trying to be honest, that's the way he and Kaden were, "Go for it man, tell her how you feel. If she's right for you, she'll make room for her career and you. Especially since you support her career," He went to run after the ball, wishing that he had brought his different sneakers to wear while he drove, these ones were beginning to feel to tight.

Kaden raised his eyebrows before going to get a drink from the water bottle he left on the side of the house near the field. He sat down on the field and began to think about things. "I dunno man," he said exasperatedly. "I mean, our date was mostly hanging out at her house but she cooked for me and we watched a movie. That's gotta count for something right?" With that question, Kaden kicked off his own sneakers and felt the grass on his bare feet. He had been thinking about his options, but didn't really come up with much in the way of not telling Jasper how he felt, other than just remaining quiet and letting her get away. But Kaden knew that if he never knew how Jasper felt about him, it just might kill him. "Maybe I should start slow, like ask her on a real date or something."
