The best confidence builder is experience..... Austin walked onto the main set of Studio Nineteen, not really knowing what he was doing today. The producers hasn't let him in on the new episode, so he was a little frazzled in the mind, but in the face it was pure energy. It didn't matter what happened. As long as he got a paycheck for the thing he enjoyed the most.
Problem was, his mom and dad would cash in on the paycheck--not him. He needed a muse. Something to give him the inspiration and encouragement to stand up to his parents. Alice had told him many times that the time was now, but he couldn't do it. He was too timid when it came to the people who beat him for no apparent reason when he was a child.
Sitting in his chair, Austin waited for someone to come around. Maybe they would give him the in on the episode. He was hoping it was one special person in particular. He hadn't seen her in a while. Hopefully it would give him a chance to talk to her.

Ashlyn was once again in high spirits. She wasn't sure what was giving her the mojo, but whatever it was, she hoped it just kept coming. It may have been the fact that nothing jumped out and yelled 'boo!' at her during the night. Quite the contrary, the hotel had remained oddly at peace for the weekend. Though not knowing what was causing the lull in the hauntings was eating her alive, she hoped that whatever it was didn't stop. She still had no idea why she was living in the portal to the underworld, but really, she thought she didn't leave because the grandeur of the place was so high class. Regardless of this, Ashlyn pranced into the studio with a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Not to mention her trademark early-morning iced Chai in her hand.
It didn't take her long to notice the head of hair that was seated in a hair. Though she couldn't see his face, she recognized him immediately. Tiptoeing her way toward him, she silently set her cup down on a table, and put her hands over Austins eyes. "Guess who!" she exclaimed, trying to mask her voice, but her amusement with the situation was making it difficult.

The best confidence builder is experience..... Austin suddenly felt hands over his eyes, breaking into his wandering thoughts. It was almost like he'd summoned her though. Austin laughed. "Hey Ash," he said. "Nice attempt to cover you identity. Personally I give you an 8 outta 10 just for effort," he joked. He smiled at her, playfully.
Yup, it was almost like he'd summoned her. His thoughts, though wandering, had been really centered around her. He couldn't believe life was immitating art. Sorta. He'd never believed it before, especially with his background. It was something that had shocked him, but he had a new life now. It was all in the past and this was his future.

Ashlyn stuck her tongue out at him then laughed. She was in such a good mood, it was almost unfamiliar to her. She was seeing things differently. There was something about Austin that she hadn't noticed before. But as she looked at him, she couldn't figure it out. Shaking that out of her head, she sat on her chair. She opened her script that she carried in her bag, flipping though the pages. She sipped her Chai quietly, not really paying attention to the paper in front of her. She was trying to figure out what was different about Austin.
"Hey!" she exclaimed, nearly dropping her drink as she pointed to the script on her lap. "We get to kiss today!" She thrust the script at Austin, pointing to the scene.

The best confidence builder is experience..... Austin stuck his tounge out at Ashlyn in return when she stucks hers out at him. When she sat down he just watched her. He was about to ask her if she'd seen any producers around so he could get a script, but she broke into his thoughts when she announced that they got to kiss in today's scene. Austin froze. Uh oh. Keep it cool A-man. He perked up, pleasantly. "Really? I haven't seen the script yet. I don't know what's going on in today's episode."
Honestly, with Austin having been on many auditions lately, he'd barely been around for the show. He loved the show, so he would never do a project that shot at the same time as show season, but Alice insisted on him doing as much as he could. The other reason was Ashlyn. He didn't want to be away from her too long. He didn't think he could take it.

"Really?" Ashlyn asked. She knew he hadn't been around for a while, but she figured he would have gotten a copy from somewhere. She passed hers over. "You can read mine, if you like. I read majority of it last night." She took another sip of her Chai, effectively polishing it off. She looked at the cup, a bit disappointed, and threw it into the trash can. She was craving more, but she didn't really want to go anywhere to get it.
"I noticed you haven't been around for a while... What have you been up to?" she asked. She didn't give him much time to reply, and she went on again. "I guess the ratings are picking up. I saw an exposé on our characters in a rag last week. Viewers really wanna see us together." She knew she was rambling but she didn't really care.

The best confidence builder is experience..... Austin smiled and took Ashlyn's script. "Thanks." He started to read it when Ashlyn asked him where he'd been lately. She spoke of their charcaters, then he went back to her first comment/question. Better to stay in order of events or else he'd confused himself, or maybe even forget the original question.
"My sister booked my a few auditions. Nothing major. But a lot of them shoot during show season and I don't really wanna be away for too long. One's shooting in Romania, the other is in Australia, and the other in Germany, I think." He sighed and looked back at the script for a moment. "They're big parts, but I don't wanna get caught up in a crammed schedule just yet." Austin had to think what the second part was.
Oh yeah!
"And, uh.....about our charcaters." Long pause. "I saw that too. I think it was on a poll on E! Online though." Austin watched E! everyday and always saw the shows publicity. He hadn't been on there much, which--in his mind--was a good thing. Ashlyn had been on there more than he had, but it was all good stuff so he had nothing to worry about.

"It's kind of exciting, I think." Ashlyn said, smiling at him "I'm so happy that our characters that we've worked so hard on are being appreciated by our fans. I just..." She paused, trying to put into words what she was thinking. "We've made people matter, you know? Like, two teens who are ordinary in life actually mean something to people. It's overwhelming."
Ashlyn thought back to Austin's movie auditions. "But I so wish I had more time to do movies. I might do some in the fall when we aren't filming. But of course, that requires auditioning and auditions have always made me so nervous." She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I mean, you should have seen me at the Twilight audition. I was shaking more than a cat on a subwoofer."

The best confidence builder is experience..... Austin listened to Ashlyn talk about their charcaters. He agreed with everything she said, and yet, she wasn't seeing the full picture. Yeah. We made the charcaters work. Now, can you make us work? Just a little bit? Come on, I'm throwing you all the curve balls and you're striking out here! He would keep those thoughts to himself. Instead, he said, "Yeah. Definately."
As to her comments about movies, he laughed when she mentioned the Twilight audition. "Yeah, that would've been something to see. I'm actually thinking of going out for that movie they're doing with Dev Patel. That Avatar movie. I've always been a fan of that show. It would be cool to do." He smiled and a small chuckle came out as he looked back at the script.
