Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly had only been in L.A. for a few days, but she was already warming up to it. Honestly, it was quicker than expected. She missed Alabama and her friends, but it comforted her that she was far away from her imprisoned mother. But it was definitely a different world in L.A. It scared her a little.
Since Molly was going out to find some of her old friends--their old friends--Holly decided to let their father work in peace and went out shopping. Since their father was a book editor, he made lots of money and the girls could afford to get such nice things. Holly was a country girl at her, it was true, but designer clothes were stunning to her and she loved wearing anything with a name brand.
Once on Rodeo Drive, she didn't go into any of the shops just yet. Instead, she window shopped, hopping that something would catch her eye before she started spending money stupidly. There were many people around and it frightened her a little. So many more people lived in L.A. than Montgomery. It was intimidating.
Holly stopped at a store window, looking inside. They had nice clothes. When she looked at the store sign, she realized it was in fact, Dash, the store owned by the Kardashians. She continued to look in the window, hoping that something would catch her eye. Outfit

Kaden was wandering Rodeo Drive, not really looking for anything to buy. He just needed to get out of the house for a while and do something not acting related. He donned a pair of aviator shades to keep people from automatically recognizing who he was; instant protection from the rabid fangirls that seemed to stalk him everywhere he turned. As he walked down the streets, he hoped to at least find a store the specialized in soccer gear and wear. His shin guards were getting a little shabby, so he was looking into getting some new ones soon. He passed a ton of shops and didn't really pay attention to where he was going. It was just good to be out of the house.
When he got close to Dash he really started to not pay attention to where he was walking and ran into someone that was in front of the shop. "Oh god...I'm so sorry," he apologized quickly. "I don't watch where I'm walkin' sometimes and that really gets me in trouble."

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... All of a sudden, Holly was brought out of her stance in the store when she was knocked into by someone who quickly apologized. She looked to see who it was. It was a cute guy, who looked embarassed. "Oh, don't worry about it," Holly said in her southern accent. "It happens." She laughed. It was rare to see guys out shopping, particularly since it was L.A. Though, things were different in Alabama, so she wasn't used to the whole L.A. thing yet.

Kaden smiled and nodded to her acceptance of his apology. "I guess I should pay attention more then, huh?" he sarcastically asked and laughed. When he looked at the girl he bumped into, she looked vaguely familiar, like he had seen her somewhere before. "Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked before correcting himself, "Where are my manners, I'm Kaden Lynch." He felt like an idiot when talking to people sometimes, but that was just his southern nature coming out. What Kaden was realizing though, was that he wasn't in Texas anymore. Everything in L.A. was different and it had taken him the better part of a year to discover that.

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly laughed. "I don't believe so. Unless you lived in Alabama in a prior life." She readjusted her bag strap on her shoulder and crossed her arms. "I'm Holly Carlisle. It's nice to meet you Kaden." She giggled and stuck her hand out. He seemed friendly enough. She did not recall ever seeing this boy before in her lifetime. Maybe she looked like someone he knew. Either that or it was a pick up line.

Kaden shook her hand and smiled. "I never lived in Alabama, but I am originally from Texas myself," he said. "It's nice to meet you Holly." Kaden was still trying to figure out where he knew this girl from, but nothing came to mind. "So, Alabama huh...California's a long way from there. What brings you out to the west coast?" Kaden was always curious as to why people moved out to California, aside from persuing an acting career or something similar.

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly grinned. "My Daddy got relocated out here by his publishing company. He's a book editor so my twin sister and I picked it all up and moved with him." She straightened up a little bit. "Besides, it's a long story after that." Holly wasn't comfortable talking about her mother with strangers. She felt jolts of pain in her stomach from where he mother had stabbed her when she was younger.

Nodding, Kaden listened to Holly's reason for moving. "I see," he said. "I've been living here for almost eight years and I'm still a tad confused about some of the stuff that goes on." He laughed again. "My family moved out here when I was twelve so that I could persue my acting career and have been here ever since," he explained. Kaden thought about his first few months in the California school system...it was hell for him because of his Texan accent, but he learned to cope. Now, eight years later, he was on one of the most popular teen shows in the nation. Times were changing for him indeed.

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly nodded as she listened but when he mentioned he was an actor she asked, "You're an actor?" She didn't spend too much time watching TV. Writing her books was more important and all she really did was listen to music. She spent a lot of time outside of the house too with her friends going to parties and such. She barely had time for TV or movies.

Kaden took off his aviators and nodded. "Yup, I'm one of the main cast members of the show Just Hear Me. I got cast a few months back and we launched the first season, which has been a hit," he replied. Everyone was surprised when the show took off as a success and all the main cast members became celebrities overnight it seemed. Kaden had not been prepared for the barage of fangirls that would follow his every move. "None of us were expecting the overnight stardom though. It's been one crazy ride since it started." He laughed again.

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly nodded. "Well congratulations. I don't really watch TV very much. I do more outdoor things or I write my books to music. But maybe I'll watch it sometime. When is it on?" She couldn't promise that she would watch it, but she would make an attempt. Maybe since she was in an unfamiliar place, she would do different things.

Kaden laughed again. "Yeah, I don't watch too much television myself. I'm mostly outside practicing soccer or out on the beach," he said. "But I do know that the show is on Thursday evenings around seven or eight in the evening." He stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Well, I'm guessing that you were probably busy before I bumped into you, so I will let you get on your way."

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly nodded. "Seven or eight. Got it." When Kaden said he would leave, Holly said, "No no. I was just browsing. I would love the company if that's alright with you. I wouldn't mind hanging out with a celebrity," she joked. Really, she could care less who he was. She'd hang out with a monkey and be happy. Holly readjusted the strap of her purse on her shoulder.

Kaden nodded and smiled. "Alright," he agreed. "Now, I don't know much about shoppin', but I do know my way around here at least." He laughed at himself, knowing that it was the truth. If he could help it, he stayed as far away from Rodeo Drive as humanly possible. With every fiber of his being, he hated shopping, but if someone asked him to keep them company, he would gladly oblige because of his good southern nature. That was simply how he was raised to be.

Keep you friends close, but keep your enemies closer..... Holly laughed. "Well it evens out then. You show me around and I'll give you a lesson in Shopping 101." She was obviously joking about that last part, unless he was willing. She didn't blow money like water whenever she shopped, but here in L.A. that might be a hard promise to keep. All of the clothes were so fabulous, she might buy everything she liked. Molly would be jealous that she didn't come with her shopping, especially since she met a celebrity.
